With walnut cabinet, the Marantz was way ahead of its time; Stepped volume control, and full function stereo switching. Power switch controls the two switched outlets on back (Most Marantz amps did not have power switch).Was intended to be used with a pair of Model One Mono preamps one half of a 7C. This one has a horizontal faceplate. They had a vertical one so you could mount the controller on the side of two stacked Model ones. Audio Classics calls this one ULTRA Rare, and there's a guy on Ebay asking $1000 just for a faceplate. Faceplate, is nice, no real wear, aluminum knobs are oxidized to a uniform gray, galvanized jacks, are, well, you know what happened to galvanized jacks after 45 years, Still it can be cleaned up nicely.
