This is a very rare one of a kind piece. I would describe as being very musical. I’m getting old and lazy, I replaced it because I wanted remote. I was very happy with the sound of this preamp. It really sings with the Mazda 6CG7/6FQ7 tubes.Nobis Technologies became Signature Technologies. I bought this preamp from Brian, the designer and owner of Signature Technologies. Upgrades include:
- latest version of Sigh Tech board
- DACT CT2 Attenuator [stepped volume control].
- Power supply was upgraded with Black Gates, Nichicon Fine Gold, and an Elna.
- All caps in the linestage were replaced with Auricaps.
- Brian also installed some of his fine silver wire to the output
-To change tubes top of the cover cut, so that just the top of it is removable. It is held in with biscuits. Features:
Has 5 inputs [phono input needs to be rewired,that would make 6]
Fully independent tape monitoring permits you to record while listening to something else.
High quality gold-plated Teflon RCA jacks on all inputs and outputs.
Independently switched convenience outlets located on the rear panel
Premium glass epoxy printed circuit boards with film type resistors Includes:
- Signature Tech Manual [Srp-7]
- Toshibas installed, and 17 pair of used tubes [when I say used, they were all in the preamp, most for a very short time], and a couple of singles. The Teonix are actually Mazda, and there is one pair branded Mazda. Also RCA Cleartop, Black Plate, and an assortment of others.
