This is a lot of preamp for the $$$. Get a taste of the wonderful VAC sonic house sound for a minimum investment.
This preamp uses 6 tubes, (3) 12AX7's in the phono stage and (2) 12AX7's and (1) 12AU7 in the line stage. Conservatively rated at 8/10 due to age. If you want to play with lower output MC cartridges, I also have an Ortofon Verto SUT that worked well with this preamp too. Ortofon Verto SUT is extra.
