This is a Pioneer QX-8000A stereo-quad receiver. The build quality is unreal! Very well made in Japan in 1972-1973. Rated at a conservative 22 watts a channel at 8 ohms stereo, and 27 watts a channel at 8 ohms quad. The all wood cabinet is the original, and fits well, and looks great! The controls, all switches etc are all original. They have been cleaned and lubed. No dirty, noisy controls. No bent shafts as well. The Pioneer can power 4 speakers. Turntables(2) tape(2), in front and rear, also aux. The dial lamps all work. Replaced the main dial lamps with cool blue l.e.d.'s. Looks very presentable. The Pioneer uses the 'pillow jack' type speaker plugs. Either have my tech change them out to standard clip type biding posts, or buy the Pioneer 'pillow jacks' on Ebay for $25.00 a pair.
