Restoration includes: replacement of ALL electrolytic and tantalum capacitors. Main power supply caps replaced with Chemi-con units, all others with Nichicon and Panasonic electrolytic, except for small-value electrolytics which were replaced with stacked-film type. Low-leakage Nichicon UKL's used where appropriate. Main amp power transistor heat sink compound reapplied, and bias and DC offset trim pots on main amp board replaced with new Bourns units. Several known "iffy" types of transistors replaced with new Fairchilds. Power supply regulator transistor overheating is a common problem with '70's Pioneer receivers- I've added extra heatsinking to these to ensure long life. All functions and lamps work well. AM antenna intact. All pots and switches thoroughly DeOxited. Cosmetically in very nice shape but not perfect- metal and glass all great but a few chips in case veneer. FWIW, receiver is rated at 120W/channel at 8 ohms.
Unit can be examined and heard at my home in Northern Orange County, NC.
