If you are considering a Yamaha RX-V1800, this is the one to get, as it may be the only complete package available on the internet at this time. The 130 watt per channel RX-V1800 was the next to the top of the line Yamaha AVR that year. The RX-V3800 offered 10 additional watts per channel and a few other minor features.

This unit has worked flawlessly since new in both my family room and bedroom systems. It has analog pre-outs so that you can use it as a pre-pro if you choose, although that is certainly not necessary for most speakers out there. The 37 pound RX-V1800 is a solid, heavy audio video receiver, unlike many of the current a/v receivers, which generally weigh in around 20-23 pounds. The audio quality of the unit is excellent. This year model of Yamaha AVRs was the first year to offer Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding. It will also play SACD DSD and DVD-Audio discs over HDMI. As you can see from the pics, the condition is near pristine, and all original accessories are included, as well as the original packaging. Very slight scuffs on the top and sides. The front panel is like new.

Note: although the RX-V1800 will not handle the new 4K video signals, such as Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, many of the new UHD Blu-ray players have two HDMI outputs; one goes to the TV and the other goes to the receiver for the audio. So, you don't really have to spend $800 to $2000 on a new comparable AVR to be able to play Ultra HD Blu-ray discs.

The RX-V1800 will play all the common audio codecs, up to and including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Dolby Atmos tracks will default to Dolby TrueHD, as can be seen in the attached pics while playing the Wonder Woman Blu-ray.

The unit will ship in the same double box packaging in which it originally arrived. Will ship to contiguous US, standard shipping. Any questions, please ask.
