This is a rare Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MSFL) numbered box set of the The Beatles. LIMITED EDITION # 11,370 and is long out of print. The MSFL Japanese pressed LP box set is an 14 LP collection and is pressed on Virgin Vinyl pressing. This box set recording is from the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, the innovator in the production of state-of-the-art audiophile-quality sound recordings. Special static free- dust inner sleeves and special heavy duty protective packing. These sets will never be made again, truly a collectors item. The black box is well cared for with only slight scrub marks in a few spots, nothing through the covering. That wear is from moving the box probably. Very minor considering the age. There are one or two very small splatters of white paint which fell on the box while the painters painted the owners home. These too are very minor and would be difficult to remove without damaging the covering on the box. The brass hinges and are clean and shiny with little apparent tarnishing. The Hasp shows tarnishing with age and is darkening. One of the hinged doors has one small pressure ding from being bumped and was repaired and is visible on the right front side edge about mid way. Nothing major visibly or structurally to the case. The felt base on the bottom shows very little wear. The interior of the box is excellent. The LP jackets and original “Rice Paper” inner sleeves show no abuse or excessive wear. There are some creases in the “Rice Paper” sleeves at the corners from removing the album from the jacket or folding as the LP was placed in the jacket. No abuse. The Beatles, The Collection Art book included with this collection is a handsome, oversize full-color art book. The Beatles Art book displays the original album cover graphics of each of the albums in the collection, duplicated from the original film transparencies, printed on art quality paper stock, this 12 1/4" x 12 1/4" volume also describes the technical process utilized in the creation of Original Master Recordings. The art book also includes interviews with the Beatles engineers and producers. There is some age related warpage of the card stock cover. The set also comes with a Geo-Disc. To allow you to even more accurately (and dramatically) enjoy the sonic dynamics of these Beatles original master recordings. A Geo-Disc cartridge alignment instrument is enclosed. The Geo-Disc will enable you to easily align your turntable to within 2/1000th's of an inch in accuracy. The result can be incredibly improved playback performance. I am selling these for a friend, have not played them. The vinyl looks pristine.
