Summit Xs in excellent condition functionally and cosmetically. Veneer is Bubinga, which is an $800 premium finishWhat I like best about these speakers is their clarity, large soundstage and the way the music floats completely free of the speakers. They have two powered 10 inch woofers per side, so bass response is excellent and I don't hear any indication when they cross over from the panels to the woofers. They don't have the room correction of the current models. What I have read is that this generation of MLs has a little more of a laid back sound, the new ones are more forward. Many people drive them with tubes or low powered solid state, but I recommend a higher power amp to hear them at their best. I plan to ship them freight on a pallet.
