I am offering a pair of Revel Ultima Studio’s, version 1.   The Studios are gloss paint (Midnight Blue) with aluminum side panels. This was the most expensive option offered by Revel for this line and they are truly works of art. The Studios were Stereophile Class A components for the duration of their production run.

I am not the original owner and I do not have the original boxes. I have been powering them with a Proceed HPA3 made by Mark Levinson, and the previous owner ran them with top of the line Mark Levinson monoblocks They have sounded beautiful with the Proceed.

The speakers are in great condition overall.  Sonically there are no issues at all - they sound splendid.

The physical appearance is nearly perfect when the speakers are setup in your room and from the listening/watching position.  Upon closer inspection there are minor flaws in several places.  Most noticeably there are hairline “cracks” that run down the center of the edge of the side panels.  This is obviously a result of the fluctuations of hot/humid/cold/dry conditions in Florida.  They pose no risk of failure, they just are cosmetic in nature and can be easily fixed if you simply wanted to spray a coat of matching paint along the edge.  I  did not bother since I don’t even notice them any more.    There are tiny nicks and barely noticeable blemishes mainly down low near the floor, and the bottoms have some scratches on the cabinet and the bottom of the panels which you cannot see at all until you flip the speaker on its side. Obviously caused by the previous owner sliding the speakers along hard floors to get them into place.

All of the drivers are in great shape and work as expected, the grills are free from holes or pulls.  The bases include all spikes, the connectors include the jumpers, all hardware is intact.  I guess overall you wouldn’t even notice the flaws unless you were looking for them.  Most of the imperfections I hadn’t noticed until I pulled all of the speakers together for a photo shoot. I have downsized my home and unfortunately have no room for such an ambitious home theater.  I know I will regret selling these the moment they are gone since they sound utterly fantastic, but I don’t even have room to store them until my next move.  I am instead going to assemble a more intimate 2-channel setup in a smallish room. “...nothing can really detract from the overall thrill I experience every time I fire up this system. It's impossible to say whether this reaction is due to the overall balance, the cohesive sound of five well-matched speakers, or the system's wide dynamic range. It's probably a combination of all these qualities, which is evident on all types of movies.” As reviewed in Stereophile magazine by Thomas J. Norton

REVEL ULTIMA STUDIOS   Prices:  Studios with high-gloss paint and aluminum panels:  $10,799 Total: $10,799

"Since joining Stereophile, I have had the pleasure and responsibility of reviewing some of the best music equipment on the planet. Still, I ship most of these fine components back to their manufacturers with little regret—I know something new is on its way, and I need the closet space. I've had the Revel Ultima Studios in my system for longer than I've had any other piece of review equipment, and I've made more accommodations for them than I have for any others. To mangle Jack Nicholson's complement in As Good As It Gets, the Studios make me want to have a better room. The Ultima Studios have given me unabated pleasure as well as utility—their accuracy and transparency across the audible range make them powerful tools for assessing other components and sources. Inferior sources are revealed for what they are, and one must be prepared to hear just that. But this also means that the Studios let the music's humanity and joy shine through into my listening room. Highly recommended."  As reviewed in Stereophile Magazine by Kalman Rubinson
