These are a pair of the fabulous Feastrex D5 Monster Alnico speakers made when Mr. Teramoto was at Feastrex. He was the genius behind the Feastrex line of drivers and cabinets. He designed and made them. He is no longer there. So these are particularly noteworthy, if you are looking for a world class driver.Though they are 5 inches, they are completely full range.The cabinets were made by a master cabinet maker who built them exactly to Feastrex design and materials.I have owned several Lowthers, AER's, Coral Beta 8 and 10's, and Fostex drivers and none came even close to these in my opinion...The highs are very clear and precise without any shout and brittle sound.The bass is full and natural... I never felt I needed a sub with them.They work well with low power amps, especially SET...The drivers are now $11,500 (and as I said previously not made by Mr. Teramoto) and the cabinets were $1500..I have no boxes and would prefer to not have them shipped. However, I would take them to a place that can pack and ship them at buyers expense and buyer would accept responsibility for them. I would be willing to drive up to 500 miles for the cost of gas ( from 94515) to meet and exchange speakers if payment is made beforehand...Paypal fees are paid by the purchaser if applicable.Please see my feedback on Audiogon and Ebay as Pianopig for purchase assurance.
