Quad ESL-57 with Bronze Grills. Good working order with no power issues that cause volume imbalance. More importantly, the panels do not have any damage, including no arcing on the treble panels. Replaced with new EHT boards. I am selling because I don't have the time or the room. This is great opportunity to own an iconic pair.Condition:
- The panels have not been restored, but like mentioned before, play very well and consistent. There is zero damage to the panels, especially arcing of the treble panel.
- The EHT boards were replaced recently with Electrostatic Solutions Reference EHT
boards which cost on their site $150 each.
- The sides and feet were reconditioned so there are no gashes or scratches.
- The back grill was painted black like how QUAD Unlimited does it and looks great.
- The frame had the sides touched up and look good.
- The front grill has a small 1.5" split on one of the speakers lower left corners. It does not look too bad, but you be the judge.
- Comes with original power cords
This is a great pair of iconic speakers that I do not have a good apartment to accommodate. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY.
I will not ship because it is too expensive and time-consuming. Also, the likelihood of damage is an event I don't want to take responsibility for. Lastly, it would be very expensive; UPS quoted me at one $600 to New Jersey. * Please give me a day notice minimum so I can have the speakers powered up optimally for demonstration.
