For sale is a pair of Quad ESL 989s, in perfect working condition. These units have been modified in the following way: - New cloth covers (from Electrostatic Solutions), which increase sound transparency by a good margin over the stock covers. I still have the stock covers and will give them to the new owner. - A few capacitors were upgraded with Black Gates and Jupiter caps. This resulted in a more refined presentation. The original set of spikes are included. I don't have the original boxes anymore so I'm advertising it as pick up or have your shipping company pack them and pick them up.
