I had these made for me by Wayne Picquet[PK] of Quads Unlimited.I took possession of them in January of this year. They are just getting broken in.The panels are all completely rebuilt by Wayne who is considered by many to be the best at this. He then builds the frame and electronics. These speakers maintain the beauty of the original ESL 63 but with the extra panels [one in each speaker], they produce deeper and more controlled bass as well as incredible highs. No need for either a subwoofer or supertweeter. I have owned the 989's and heard the current 2912, and I feel these speakers outshine either of those, especially in the bass region. This is a chance to get the finest in Quad sound at a substantially reduced price.. Sonically there are absolutely no problems. Cosmetically they are very nice in appearance. I rated them a "7" to be on the safe side but they are very Beautiful. The wood veneer is cherry.I have no shipping crates, so pick up is necessary, unless you want me to drop them off at a shippers. Buyer would be responsible for the shipping charge and safety during transport.I will only take USPS money order. Please see my feedback as Pianopig on Audiogon and Ebay for buyer reassurance.
