This is a Linaeum brand tweeter from the Linaeum 10 speaker. It does not make any sound, and is sold for salvage. This is for someone who knows how to repair this tweeter.
Note: this is a Linaeum brand tweeter, made by or for Linaeum. Linaeum licensed the design to other companies, and Radio Shack made a thousands. The ones made for radio shack worked, but were more economical than the Linaeum with a trade off in sound quality.
The Linaeum 10 and Linaeum 8 were two way standing speakers, the 10 with an 8" mid-woofer, and the 8 with a 6" mid-woofer. (Yeah, that's a bit nuts...) These speakers were two of the last line Linaeum made.
I believe this tweeter fit either speaker. The tweeters have banana type plus on the bottom, and simply sat on top of the rectangular box of the speaker.
I acquired a pair of the 10's when Linaeum in the early 2000's when Linaeum was moving to the Pacific NW. I bought them from a Linaeum speaker designer? and lucky for me an extra tweeter was included. But, one died...
I do not know the ohm rating of a working tweeter.
Offered at $25. Feel free to make an offer. Local pickup in NE Los Angeles/Pasadena, CA is welcome.Forum email may not be working. You can contact me at drslynn@gmail.com
