For sale is a complete pair of Fostex FE83 SOL speakers that I have used lightly. The condition is excellent. I only found a tiny nick on a top edge, which I tried to photograph.
I am downsizing so I don’t have a good place for them. They are much too good to be used as TV speakers.The gorgeous Rosewood veneer cabinet was custom made using the recommended Bass Reflex Enclosure specified by Fostex for the FE83 SOL (limited edition driver). You can expect a very similar sound due to the same driver used and a very similar enclosure. These wide band speakers sound incredible on a desk, bookshelf, or in a moderately sized room on stands. For their size, the bass is surprisingly good and very articulate. They deliver 3D holographic imaging, natural tone, and are extremely fast. There is no crossover to get in the way of the music. These speakers measure very good for a single driver speaker, as you can see from the included image of the response. They present an easy load for even a flea watt SET tube amp.
