Originally retailing for $2000 a pair, the Revel M22 is still a state of the art speaker, crushing other speakers costing many multiples of what I'm selling them for.

These speakers have some wear on the cabinetry, but nearly all of it is not visible at a distance, and most of it would be easy to touch up.

They are 100% functionally perfect, and capable of the stunning realism that Revel specializes in. There is simply nothing that these speakers don't do well (except for providing the very lowest of bass). They image fantastically, and reveal textures and timbres in your music that you hoped was there if you ever had decent speakers. I put Revel in a very small class of speakers, ones that are capable of bringing you into the presence of the musicians you are listening to. Many times, as I listened to music at a realistic level, I was taken out of 'critical listening' or 'audiophile' mode, and had something of an out of body experience. It was an extremely exciting phenomenon, something very different from listening to lesser speakers. I suppose this is what the high end is supposed to deliver (as opposed to mid-fi -- even good mid fi).

The speakers come with grilles, but not stands or foam plugs.

I am selling the speakers because I do not have time to listen to them. For the past 5 years I've kept them in a cabinet unless I'm able to take the time to bring them out and focus on the music. Those times are becoming increasingly rare, so I'm letting them go.

These speakers are in perfect functional condition, but the finish of each has minor flaws that forces me to price these under full market value. In particular, one corner got banged and the veneer has given way to the underlying MDF. There are a couple other small areas near corners where the veneer has been chipped through. All of the chipped areas could be covered over in some way with a marker or some paint. I have not bothered to do that because I don't see the chipped areas when the monitors are on their stands, and I just didn't want to bother. There is also some marring of the finish on the bottoms of the speakers where a former owner must have used blue-tack or something to keep the monitors in place. The grills are in good shape. There are a couple places where the fabric seam is separating, but they are very small and are only visible on close inspection.
