These incredible monitors are well deserving of their Stereophile Class A rating for several years running.Rave reviews abound, including the 2016 Stereophile article in which Ken Micallef declares them to be “the finest stand-mounted speaker I’ve heard: a modern classic.” I’ve owned all kinds of speakers incorporating single point wide band drivers, including giant back loaded horns, semi-open baffle and stand mounted designs, utilizing drivers from Phy HP, Fostex, Lowther and others. None have bested the sense of coherency, spaciousness and heft provided by these beautiful little gems; and this in my 13 x 27 foot living room. It’s really quite astonishing, and must be heard to be believed. The best part is that they were driven to this level of performance by a similarly minuscule and affordable Heed Elixir integrated amplifier that I may also consider parting with as part of a package deal with the Suns, should the buyer prefer. The speakers appear as new, and have no issues in any regard, either functionally or in appearance. I purchased them from the original owner in 2017. They arrived with small protective felt pads that were adhered by the seller. One set was inadvertently mounted on the top of the speaker, which accounts for it appearing upside down in the picture. Given the symmetrical dimensions of the cabinet and single driver, this had no adverse effect on performance. While I did not feel compelled to remove these pads, this could be easily done by the new owner if desired.
