Up for sale, a rare Koetsu tonearm, the earlier Mk1. It is in very good condition, immaculate appearance. It has been gone through and checked: the wiring is original along with headshell and cartridge leads. The old wiring connections were resoldered at the lower connector with Cardas silver. All leads measure under 1/2 ohm, stem to stern. Lift works well. The whole arm is shiny, with no corrosion or noticeable tool marks. It is heavy, made of the finest materials.
Arm looks and operates as original. No provision for anti-skate, by design. I only used it with MM cartridges and it performed fantastically. There is a provision for silicon damping fluid that can be added through the top but I never used that. The arm has only the heavy counterweight. Weight can be added to the headshell - I used a .8 gram weight (included.) You can set it up your way. Uses a 5 pin cable - you'll want to put a good one on it. Will certainly consider offers. Will be well-packed in foam so it can't move, in a sturdy box, protected, and will ship free of charge within 48-state US by US Postal Priority. Additional charge for farther locations.
