Here is a nice sounding, strong testing, pair of genuine Holland made, legendary, small plate type tubes, with similar date codes acid-etched on the sides; plus, these have decent looking "collectable" logo labelling. These tubes test strong and test closely matched; as a collectible pair of ECC83 tubes should. On my trusty Hickok transconductance tube tester, a test result of 32 represents a 65% good tube and new tubes of this type typically yield 48 or higher per triode. The first tube, an Amperex 12AX7A is dated <0F5 and tests strongly at 48 & 48. The second tube, branded Philips and Geloso ECC83 is dated <0F4 and tested closely at 50 & 48; indicating a nice strong pair of tubes. These tubes passed the Shorts and Gas tests plus show very strong Life Test results when filament voltage was lowered during testing; confirming these are lightly used tubes. These are some excellent, 1960s vintage Dutch made ECC83/12AX7 tubes. A brief listening test in my phono preamp verifies a very nice sounding matched pair of phono grade, genuine European small plate tubes. Upon start-up there was a bit of microphonic noise only when tapping the tubes; but, this normal occurrence goes away quickly as the tubes warmed a minute. This rare, matched pair of Amperex and Philips tubes will easily last some more decades. No tube boxes are included, but these will be very safely packed and will arrive safe and sound... This pair of tubes can be shipped anywhere in the USA for $8. via Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box. Fastest shipment is with usps postal money orders.
