Even Audio Research offered them for a while before the Mullard /Genalex factory closed several pairs available, each pair slightly mismatched ( NOT a matched quad set). $600 pair for the 79 pair, the second pair is older, dated 78 and is listed for $650. The 79 pair has a black (actually dark brown) base with the typical hole in the Mullard style octal base. The 78 pair has the brown, supposedly low leakage base, but no hole in the base guide, though, The brown base has the shorter sides.
