We have for sale a quantity of new old stock National Union Radio Corporation 12AU7A (ECC82) vacuum tubes. These were from a bulk lot and are in new white boxes with the test results written on the boxes. National Union Radio Corporation was formed in 1929 by combining smaller vacuum tube manufacturers Sonatron Tube Company, Televocal Corporation, and the Magnatron Corporation. This merger into a new company was made possible by a loan from RCA. RCA’s motive was to have a reliable supplier to manufacture their brand of vacuum tubes. During its years of operation, National Union also manufactured branded vacuum tubes for both General Electric and Westinghouse, as well as RCA. In 1954, National Union Radio Corporation sold its vacuum tube manufacturing operation to Sylvania and changed its name to National Union Electric Corporation. National Union was absorbed into Eureka-Williams in 1960 and became involved in the manufacture heating and air conditioning products. The National Union factory building, which was located at 350 Scotland Road in Orange, New Jersey, is now used for loft apartments. This lot of tubes is typical in appearance of U.S. made black plates. We have tested them here and have found them to be among the strongest testing of any we have tested, and the triodes of the lot have very closely matched test results. These are very high quality vacuum tubes and they come with our 30 day store warranty. In use they have proven to be quieter than new production tubes from today. We have a limited quantity of these vacuum tubes, but while they last we can offer them as pairs with closely matched test results.
