Here is a nice sounding, strong testing pair of genuine Telefunken ECC83/12AX7 tubes. These are the legendary, smooth, long plate type, with the molded diamond and date codes on the bottoms. These have worn logos but test strong and closely matched; as a collectible pair of phono grade Tellees should. On my trusty Hickok transconductance tube tester, a test result of 875 represents a 65% good tube and new tubes of this type typically yield 1300 or higher per triode. The first tube, dated <21 over 2>, tests at 1450 & 1550 and has a well worn Dynaco logo. The second tube is dated <62 over 2> which tests at 1450 & 1500 and has no visible silk-screened logo. These tubes passed the Shorts and Gas tests plus show very strong Life Test results when filament voltage was lowered during testing; confirming these are only lightly used tubes. A brief listening test in my phono preamp verifies a very nice sounding, non-microphonic, matched pair of phono grade, genuine Telee tubes.
