Hi All,As I've over 137 pairs of various 12AU7 | 12AX7s, I've decided to share a few of what I've come to view as the much much better sounding or made options out there as compared to the often praised and misunderstood tandem of the so-called European Sisters, namely the brands Amperex | Mullard | Telefunken. Let me put it as mildly as I can as not to offend those whom think these are the only brands which merit music lovers attention, far from it......, as a matter of fact many simply have exposed the countless brands or factories from any given county to have concluded others which were in fact more desirable, yet simply unknown or overlooked. Here I'm referring to brands like Thomsom CSF ( France ) | Valvo or Lorenz ( Germany ) | Polam | Telam ( Poland ) | NEC or TEN Kobe ( Japan ). Which in themselves are much preferred by those in the know, and simply once again aren't known by many American counterparts as much as by tube collectors aboard, well here's an opportunity to correct these wrongs while having one up on those whom have us all believe nothing else is worthy of ones attention besides the three brands mentioned above. (3) TEN Kobe ( Japan ) 12AX7 Long Gray Plate D - Getter NOS 1963 | 1967 ( 2 pairs @ $100 each ) and Clear Top 12AX7 ( 3 pairs @ $125 each ). * [ 1 pair sold to kkak66 ]. (4) Tungsram 12AX7 ( Hungary ) Chrome | Silver Plate Foil Getter NOS 1952 | 1959 ( 1 pair @ $190 and a single @ $95 ) and Gray Welded Plate Foil Getter NOS 1961 | 1969 ( 3 pairs @ 170 each ). * ( These aren't the more commonly found versions made between 1973 | 1983 with the two slot cutouts on each side of the plates themselves, no in fact these are much much better sounding then those, hence the pricing. ) Once again, I've a few odd brands which require to much writing to list, yet would be happy to run them by you upon your response, can also provide actual photos upon request.
