Western Electric 300B NOS. These are dated 1952, in plain brown boxes. Most interestingly, they are also stamped SSD NSC Oakland Laboratory tested 1956. 1952 date is the screened base of tube. I believe these were tested at the Army labs in Oakland over and beyond the fabled WE QC.I was told, unconfirmed, that US Military tubes were 100% QC'ed. These have the outer boxes ( a bit tattered) stamped with Oakland Laboratory stamp (one is dated 1956, other is unreadable). Haven't seen any other WE tubes with the Oakland Lab stamp They measure very close on my TV-7. A pair is for sale but the price is PER tube. Sorry, I have seen singles go as high as $2900 three years ago on Ebay ( US Army 300 B's). ON my TV-7 one measures 90 the other 88 Liquidating my collection. offers considered but please no low balls
