Up for sale, Qty 4 6BG6 G ST cap tubes, made in US 1950s. Sylvania and RCA - 2 in original shopworn boxes. Black plates. These are not 4 identical tubes but 2 pair.
As you likely know, these tubes are the equivalent of 6L6 but with a cap plate connection and slightly different pinout. Plates can handle 450V. See the details on each tube below.
Test high on Hickok 539C tester at:RCA - 6400 and 46 mA current. (minimum 3800)
Raytheon - construction exactly like RCA - 6200 and 54 mA current. NOS?
Sylvania - looks to be NOS - 6800 and 56 mA.
Sylvania - used - 5800 and 46 mA. printing on glass faint but present. This from a tube conversion kit site:
"6BG6GA tubes are IDENTICAL to the Sylvania 7027A/6L6GC because they were made with exactly the same components. They have the larger 35 watt plates found in only the 7581A/6L6GC or 7027A which means they will work in ANY 6L6 or 7027A application. The difference between the 6L6 and this 6BG6GA is the 6BG6 has the plate connection at the top of the tube, so it has a "cap" ... There are also 2 wires reversed in the tube base." Buyer will receive 4 good tubes in original and white boxes. Asking $39 plus ship. Will be well-packed and shipped within US, $9 by US Postal Priority..
Thanks for looking.
