This was SAE's top of the line when produced. It was known for it's 1.6 uV sensitivity. I can receive KUSC in stereo from LA, a distance over 100 miles (mostly over water) with a folded dipole. The 8000 has what many consider ideal in a tuner, digital readout with an analog tuning section. Unit is very clean and all functions work so far as I know.I have no need for two tuners.
