This is it, the discontinued little tuner that could! The Sony XDR-F1HD can be a radio lovers dream with some modifications. This one was maxed out by “the man” Dave at “The XDR Guy”. It has all of his standard mods, the fans, the better audio caps, etc. Click here to see “the usual mods”. You will notice that unit #160 is missing from the queue… that is because it is this unit which was purchased directly from Dave a couple of weeks ago. This was his experiment unit when he tried to run a DAC though it. The plastic case is in very good shape, but it has a hole cut in the back which I covered with damping material (loaded plastic damping was added to the back and bottom- & very good, and very expensive fo.Q damping was added to the top- see arrow). The last one that Dave put on Ebay sold for $545.55 last week. This unit does include the remote with new batteries in it, a copy of the owners sheet & service manual will be emailed to the buyer. You are probably wondering why I am getting rid of this? Well I am sort of a tuner nut & in the last couple of months I have had a Mitsubishi DA-F20, a McIntosh MR77, a Sony ST-4950, an Accuphase T-101, a Pioneer TX-7800, & a Kenwood KT-5020 in addition to this XDR. The XDR and the upgraded Kenwood were the best at pulling in stations with the edge to the XDR… but the Kenwood sounds better than them all, so I am sticking with that one of the two finalist. Since this is small & not very heavy I will ship Priority Mail for $12.00
