I am selling a wonderful analog set up comprised of a lovely Garrard 301 turntable and professionally made plywood plinth with excellent footers and drilled for a 12" SME tonearm.

The Garrard 301 needs no introduction, it is a much sought after table. This is a grease bearing, cream color and was likely made around 1959 based on the serial number and my research on this lovely website. It comes with the sleek black platter, which I prefer to the strobe version. And it also has the rarer black face plates!!

The on/off switch was broken and I simply used super glue to put it back together - works great. The bearing was removed, cleaned, and new grease (Phil Woods Bicycle grease) was installed. I oiled the motor, cleaned the idler, oiled the idler wheel arm, and adjusted the metal eddy disc brake.

The turntable runs very quietly and holds speed very well. I purchased stainless steel bolts to bolt the 301 to the plinth and they are included. The turntable mat is a 1970s rubber Sony mat and will be included.

The Garrard 301 is in lovely shape, performs very well, and will only appreciate in value.

The turntable rests in a lovely plywood plinth I believe cost around $300 (excluding shipping). The turntable is cut for a SME 3012 tonearm but also for works with an Ortofon 12" tonearm equipped with an SME base. The plywood plinth rests on 3 custom made, aluminum spike/feet footers. The footers are adjustable in height and have a threaded steel insert with two usable ends - one a spike and the other a flat surface. I purchased these footers from an ebay seller years ago who had a large batch made and did not need the surplus and they are very well engineered.

I prefer local pickup but am willing to ship this turntable and plinth anywhere in the US, Canada. If you need this shipped expect the total packing, handing, and shipping costs (double-boxed) will not be cheap and buyer will cover all shipping/insurance/packing costs.

Please email for any additional information or questions.

Payments will be by check or money order only and the turntable will ship once the funds clear my account. But local pickup with cash is preferred.

Thanks for looking!!
