This Lenco L75 project was a labor of love. I have always wanted to hear one of these tables and finally got the chance due to a trade. I went all out on this table thinking that I would keep it as my reference, and it does deserve that position... but due to medical bills I will make one for myself later. What makes this table so special is all that was done to it. The guys over at LencoHeaven are L75/78 nuts, I was able to get some advice on a table I was not familiar with. Here is a list of the upgrades: the motor was disassembled and lubricated, a new ceramic bearing was installed, the motor was damped, the bottom of the deck was damped, the top of the deck was damped, the deck was grounded with a new cable. The plinth is birch plywood with a layer of MDF in the middle, it has 3/8" bocote wood surrounding the plinth and on the armboard, the bottom is solid oak. The deck was stripped and painted, it was then polished. The platter has special damping & a heavy vintage platter mat; the "Mat SE 22". What was the result of all of this hard work? It is one of the best sounding turntables I have encountered anywhere at any price! I hate to part with it, but have so many tables in the queue
