For your consideration is a gently-used Linn LP-12 turntable mounted in an exquisite Chris Harban (of Woodsong Audio fame) Cocobola plinth with a clear plexi dust cover, silver Ittok LVII tonearm, and Linn Lingo.
I purchased the TT from a local Audiogon seller back in 2010 and brought it to Brooks Berdan in Monrovia to undergo routine maintenance and be brought to factory spec. Brooks replaced the stock plinth with a Cocobola plinth (which I purchased directly from Chris after seeing his beautiful plinths at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest), installed the Linn Lingo, replaced the oil, installed a new belt and mounted a Koetsu Urushi Vermillion cartridge (cartridge is being sold separately).
I used this TT in a three-turntable rotation in a primarily Audio Research tube system with great results up until May 2013. From then until now, the TT has sat quietly as, in order to show and sell my home, I had to "mothball" my audio system. Anyway, if you read my profile, you will see that I presently own several TTs so despite this LP-12's stellar performance, it is time to find it a new home.
Would strongly prefer a local sale as I do not possess the original boxes however shipping the TT is possible if the buyer is willing to cover the cost of having an authorized Linn dealer here in Los Angeles order a factory box and partially disassemble the turntable for safe shipment (I can give you the approximate costs if you PM me). You may find reviews of the LP-12 online and do an internet search for Woodsong Audio to see Chris' plinths. Please see my feedback here and on Agon & eBay (as "closdesducs") and buy with confidence. Paypal, please add 4%. Thanks for looking!
