A very impressive British belt-drive turntable from the mid 1980s that rarely comes up for sale. Most owners of this table preferred it to the comparable suspended Linn and Ariston models. Its coil-sprung suspension was designed to be very soft so siting should be appropriate. It has a substantially heavy plinth and platter and a speed-accurate 24 pole AC motor. Unlike most LP12s of the period it runs at exactly the right speed as checked by strobe (I only have a 33.3 strobe). The condition is decent for its age. There are marks on the plinth and a stain near the right front part of the plinth, but overall it presents well and the platter and the integral felt mat are in very clean condition. The arm board (cut for SME mount which many tonearms will fit) is a bit scuffed but with good integrity. The dust cover is decent. The hinges are a bit weak (one is different from the other) but do manage to hold the cover up once set. I rate the condition 6 only for age. It runs fine. It is a 115 Volt version. The table weighs about 30 pounds. Buyedr pays shipping from Toronto, Canada. Payment by Paypal.
