For sale from my personal collection of turntables is a MS BL-51 TT, the turntable works flawlessly and was restored by Claudio of vintageturntablerestoration. The original ebony veneer has been sanded down and refinished, looks almost identical to stock but without age related fading/wear. The motor and electronics have been serviced. Speed is dead-on at 33 and 45, checked with a KAB strobe (speed is adjustable, the dial works well). The dust cover is a new reproduction, in excellent condition and attached via the factory original hinges. Nice thick acrylic. Has a new belt on it, . All work completed just over a year ago. Original feet are present in excellent condition. Original platter and mat are in very good condition (some slight marks on the platter's edge, not very noticeable in normal operation especially with the belt in place). There is a small nick in the metal plate containing the on/off switch. There is a thumbscrew missing from the plastic piece covering the motor, could be easily replaced by a thumbscrew from the hardware store , but since it did not bother me, I did not go out and get one. Overall a very nice and smoothly operating unit. Now about the tonearm: Lustre GST-801 Tonearm: In excellent condition. The tonearm itself (wand/bearing assembly/lift/pillar) has been serviced and Cardas rewired by Johnnie at Audio Origami. He said the bearings are "not just good, but perfect". Physical condition is excellent, no notable wear. Original Lustre headshell. The best leads I have ever used, very nice cartridge tags that grip securely but are a breeze to attach/remove from cartridge. The magnetic antiskate works, though I have no way to ensure it is 100% accurate. However, the magnetic dynamic stylus force is measurable and very accurate at lower forces so I have no reason to believe the antiskate has gone off-kilter. At high stylus force (the 2.5g I use for the Zu 103, though the U Audio is not for sale, which happens to be the maximum force supported by the tonearm) the tracking force applied by the dynamic stylus force seems to be .1-.2g light according to my Shure gauge, easily remedied by moving the counterweight in a tad and does not affect operation. This arm tracks anything. I have mounted on it, such as the Sumiko Blackbird, Shure V15Type III and the Benz Micro etc etc.

The VTA base (a separate assembly) shows wear. there are some scratches on it,but minor, and it is not really noticeable in daily operation. However, to a perfectionist or someone who loves shiny new things, this will definitely be a drawback. It is over 30 years old and shows signs of amateur tinkering. The VTA base works really well but is on the stiffer side, so if you want to use multiple cartridges and adjust VTA frequently or on the fly, you will probably want to re-grease the base. I have the original box and packaging for the turntable, the turntable will be double boxed for safe arrival to your destination . The platter will be packaged in it original position below the deck. Will ship via Fedex with full insurance. This table has not seen much use in the recent past, since I have two more Micro Seiki BL-91's which see more use than this, so it is time that this table finds a new home to be enjoyed by an audiophile for a long time to come. The pictures don't do justice to its fantastic condition.

Please no low ball offers, will ship to USA and Canada, ( though Canada shipping might be more ).
