Motor oil manufactured in Massachusetts and used in transmissions before the U.S. 1972 ban on whale oil products.This oil which contains it is more slick in comparison to other motor oils and clings to metal unlike synthetic motor oil. I have yet to change oil in any of the tables I use it in. I have been using it in a variety of turntables and prefer to Mobil1, for instance, or to any other oil.
