Just use the code " 10% off " in check out... even on items that are already on sale like this one.This Thorens TD-125 was the first one I have purchased that is in pristine condition, even the original plinth was mint as it looks like it was not used much as I was told it was in storage for a long time, but this is the “all in” 125. It has a new solid oak plinth, it has the same shape as the original and can accommodate a 125 dustcover- should you decide to find one. The armboard has real rosewood veneer with several coats of poly to protect it. The spike feet are solid rosewood and there are access holes on the bottom for the power cable and to get at the phono cable. I added a MDF bottom which is reinforced for extra strength, it has our anti-interference paint sprayed on it and the inside has aluminum tape for extra protection where the arm is… in case you have a component with a transformer below it. The original platter is the original and is in excellent condition to keep that vintage look.
The deck has been damped, and the platter has damping as well (see photos). The bottom of the massive platter support deck has the underside sprayed with QuietKote in keeping with our quest for a damped deck… but not too damped as to kill the music. Even the spindle well has been damped as that is where most vibration will occur. The arm is the rare, graceful, and beautiful Grace G-840B. I got it without a headshell and purchased the upgraded headshell for it, both the arm and headshell have been cryo treated. The arm cable is a neat contraption, it has the Grace female DIN to plug into the arm tube and female RCA connectors on the other end so you can use upgraded interconnects of your choice, it also has a ground, this too was cryo treated. The anti-skate weight is a solid rosewood bead that matches the armboard. The aluminum rectangular control are in excellent condition like everything else- but we also provide real rosewood veneer covers that match the armboard and like them have several coats of varnish to protect them (there is a photo of the plinth with the rosewood controls). The table will come with a vial of bearing oil and a new belt in addition to the one that it came with. Note: it is rare to find a 125 in this kind of working and cosmetic condition.
