Here is, arguably, one of the most celebrated amplifiers of all time. As Robert Harley said in his 1992 Stereophile review, "I was immediately taken by the sound of the DNA-1". He continued to heap ever more praise, even comparing it very favorably to much more expensive amps (Krell KSA-250, Boulder 500AE). Well, indeed, you can read the online review! This unit is in immaculate cosmetic & functional condition, with no scratches, marks, etc. & performs flawlessly. It has more than enough power to drive virtually any speaker (even 2 ohm ones) with considerable reserve, and is been the subject of a number of mods (Steve McCormack is still doing these). But you may not need them; the DNA-1 is just fine all by itself, even if it is the standard edition (which Harley reviewed). It includes the manual, original box & power cord. Reason for selling: I now have practically a McCormack museum, as I like his gear so much. Specs are: output power (both channels) 150, 300 & 500 watts @ 8, 4 & 2 ohms, respectively; input impedance: 100Kohm; s/n ratio: 88 dB (A-weighted); frequency response: -3dB @ 0.5 Hz, 250 KHz. Others are in the manual. Shipping and Paypal costs (latter if used) are paid by the buyer. The amp will ship in its original box (dimensions: 22" x 22" x 12", 50 lb.), but be aware, the unit is heavy. Double-boxing can be done by FedEx/UPS at additional cost. Note well that my price is quite fair; compared to other equivalent units on here & elsewhere I should be asking much more. SO, no lowballing; it will be ignored. Note also that I have excellent feedback on US Audio Mart & older on Audiogon.
