Tom Dickinson - Technicraft on Feb 26, 2022 Though perhaps properly represented by Edcor as a 'guitar' amp output transformer, I have used these several times now in HiFi amp builds and I consider them quite respectable. In fact, the last set of these I just installed in the amp I build produced one of the best sounding versions I've constructed to date, and that would include perhaps 50 or more in various forms and fashions. While I can't include a lot of 'test data' to support their HiFi performance, I can say without reservation that the 'audible' performance as reviewed by me and a host of other listeners seems to fully support their worth! While there may be some HF roll-off upwards of 20khz, this is well above my hearing range, and seeming so with the others in my listening audience. We all found the overall frequency range to be even and delightful. Bass was strong and tight, mids were punchy and articulate, and the HF was bright, clear, and without any 'peaky' spikes that might be otherwise offensive. Overall, these were great output transformers, and I will no doubt be using them again in the future!! TSD”
