This is a pair of the original Stax SR-5 electrostatic headpones. I am the original owner. There were purchased new in 1976 but have been lightly used as I have only rarely listened with headphones over the years. I'd wonder if I hit 200 or 300 hours with these over the course of 40-plus years. The headphones come with the original SRD-6 converter box. These headphones do not plug into a standard headphone jack. The SRD-6 box hooks up to the speaker outputs on the amp and the headphones plug into it via a custom plug. They still sound excellent -- I listened to them for an hour today before I decided to list them. Cosmetically they are in good shape, especially considering their age. The headband doesn't clamp as tightly against your head as when new, but it is acceptable to me. One of the posts that holds the earpiece in the headband has been replaced, but one has to look for it to notice. The headphone cable and connector are also in good condition.
