Hi, I have for sale a Mcintosh MA-6100. Unit is in very good condition, Was serviced and restored by Audio Classics in New York to include power supply caps were replaced. Cost of work alone was $500. Way more into the unit than am asking. As they say my loss is your gain. Because power supply caps were replaced you have piece of mind that you are not going to blow the thing up by power cap going bad and frying circuit boards. Many years of enjoyment left.Front glass is chipped in lower corner but I have a brand new one in the box from Macintosh that comes with unit. Price is firm as it is a piece that is good for another forty years. I do not have the original box but I have the next best thing, a box from Audio Classics. Prefer payment with postal money order Unit was serviced 02/19/2011 and has been used sparingly. They corrected poor unit grounding that was causing unit to oscilate intermittently.
They replaced main power supply capacitors that was causing loss of low frequencies. Cleaned entire unit. Polished tarnished input and output connectors. Cleaned pots and switches. Cleaned and adjusted all five circuit card sockets. Checked out entire unit including functions. Bench tested unit
left and right 80W
rated output of 70 WRMS across 8 Ohms
This is all per the paper work from Audio Classics.
