This is an integrated amp you will not often see.The CR Developments Woodham Audio Kalypso integrated amp is a piece of audio Jewelry...It is a beautiful amp to look at but of more significance, its musical presentation is outstanding. It is an El-84 based tube amp with 15 watts per channel that will embarrass most of the high priced amps out there. Tubes Included - Power Tubes, EL84 x 4, Drivers, 12Au7 x 2, Phase Splitter, 12Ax7 x 2 and Pre-amplifier, 12Ax7 x 1. I was told that the amp has a cult following in Japan and England. It was designed and manufactured in England. It has the typical British sound...Very Dynamic, clean with a "live music" presentation which has to be heard to be believed. When shipped to me, the bottom corner of the transformer cover was slightly bent which caused a 1/4 inch square of paint to separate. It is difficult to see and I never noticed it. Also one of the gold knobs has faded. Amp was upgraded with Paper-in-oil capacitors. The Kalypso performs flawlessly and way beyond its price. This was my forever amp. But the sale of the house and a pending move overseas is the reason for the sale. If in South Florida, you are welcome to visit and listen to the Kalypso. But if you hear it, you will be hooked.
