I'm actually in awe that these $3.2K, 4ft, NBS "Professional" ICs still haven't sold! Truth be told after I heard the NBS, "Signature" model IC in a friend's audio system, ---{the NBS "Signature" ICs are 2 steps below the "Professional" model}--- I was still searching 4 months later for a pair of NBS, "Signature" model ICs, when I came across the NBS "Professional" ICs and I, jumped on them...NBS, which stands for Nothing But Signal, is a company of few words. Their advertisements (when you can find them) make no outrageous claims and contain little "if any" hype. In fact, their ads barely say anything at all. And to me what's most surprising is despite the fact that they're very high-quality, very high-end end yes very expensive, they're made here in the USA and yet it seems so very few US audiophiles know about them! Maybe revealing what audio components the NBS ICs were used with, in my audio system will help give you an idea of how special these ICs really are? Source(s): a YBA Genesis CD4 (used strictly as a transport) and an Aurender N100H Music Server, Music Streamer. DAC: a Musical Paradise MP-D2 DAC that's been modded to use 6N8S/6SN7 tubes in place of ECC88 tubes. Preamp: a Don Sachs Custom 6SN7 preamp. Amp: a Mastersound Reference 845 based, SET amp. Speakers: a pair of Reference 3A Taksim speakers. My system is a very revealing and quite realistic-sounding audio system and I tried many other ICs in the NBS ICs $3K price range (and higher) before finally settling on buying these NBS ICs. As soon as I listened to the first CD with these NBS ICs in my system I was sold! The timbre, harmonics, and increase in transparency, now literally gave me goosebumps (yes really), and then there was the increase in the soundstage's width, depth, and height. I could now pinpoint where every musician and singer stood. Plus I was now understanding words I never understood before on CDs I've owned for 20+ years!!!! Still, I suppose what might really give you an idea of how good the NBS Sound is know that it took a pair of the new Nordost Odin II ICs to finally replace the NBS ICs in my system. After hearing what I heard with these NBS ICs in my audio system, I sincerely believe you'd have felt the same way about them even if you purchased them at their $3.2K price (when new!) But at my $650 asking price, they're simply a steal and I'll be absolutely amazed if someone doesn't jump on them at this price! Note: Buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. but I'll pay them if my asking price is met in the CONUS or in Canada. As always I've attempted to be as honest as possible in my description of the NBS ICs. To me they look like #9 "Excellent/Like New" but in order to prevent any hassles down the line if a picky buyer purchases them I'm selling them as #8 "Very Good". That said, the photo is of the actual pair of NBS ICs you'll be receiving, and I will happily send any additional photos of the actual NBS ICs via text if so desired to any potential buyers.
