I tend to buy interesting things and try them out, and eventually find a new owner for them so I have room to experience something else. I only have one audio system and if I tried expanding to a larger room my other half would likely bury me in a shallow grave in the back yard. So if I want to experiment with something else, then something must go.This leads me to offering the Conrad Johnson HV-1 moving coil pre-amp. This piece uses the coveted Nuvistor tubes that were in some of the most iconic CJ pieces, and then later adopted by Musical Fidelity in some of their top tier designs. The unit is in excellent shape with a few flaws in the back paint, but no dings, dents, and a perfect faceplate. Unit has never needed service as far as I know, not since I have owned it. Works well with Audio Technica OC9 cartridges. Specifications are as follows Input Impedance 100 ohms (phono overload 200 mV at 1kHz)
