This well-regarded phono stage is designed for natural sound, has superior parts quality & has outstanding reviews (e.g., Stereophile, 2009). It includes the original power adapter & manual. It is in excellent working condition & is only missing 2 screws (1 top/1 bottom), which do not affect performance & are replaceable. It is easily changed from high gain (+55 dB) to low gain (+40 dB) to set up for your cartridge's output. This is done by moving 2 jumpers (1/channel), a simple procedure clearly described in the manual. Buyer to pay shipping and Paypal fees (if used) at actual costs.
Nota bene: I have compared the MPD to a Graham Slee Reflex, which is hard to find, costs 3X as much new (around $800 used?) and sounds no different.
SO- no lowballers are allowed; any will be quietly ignored. The following information is from the user manual, which can be downloaded from the manufacturer's site. Description:
The Micro Phono Drive is one of a series of compact McCormack components designed to deliver the exceptional levels of natural musicality usually found in much larger, more expensive products. The unit can accommodate cartridges with outputs of about 0.25mV and higher. The higher the output of the cartridge, the better the signal to noise ratio. The Micro Phono Drive uses high performance circuitry & quality RCA phono jacks for input and output connections. Specifications:
