Due to recent requests, I have burned a few more...Hello all, I was having some issues with my DCX2496 and determined that it was the EEPROM. My DCX2496 unit came with v1.16, but somehow something got tripped up and it would just lock up after a while. I had another DCX2496 unit and swapped the EEPROM and sure enough, it was a bad chip. So I bought a EEPROM Burner and burned a new EEPROM and also burned a few extra chips with v1.17 firmware - just selling them off here. Also, for those of you who have bricked your DCX2496 trying to take a v1.16 Unit and flashing up to v1.17 (the DCX2496 unit that come stock with v1.16 cannot flash up the v1.17), well here you can just pull the old EEPROM and drop in a V1.17. Understand you will not be able to update any further up from v1.17 with a DCX2496 unit that came stock with v1.16. You will be able to downgrade firmware on this EEPROM to v1.16 or lower on a DCX2496 that came stock with v1.16. Obviously this chip will work fine (and flash up to higher firmware when Behringer comes out with it) with a units that came with v1.17. As far as I have noticed, there seems to be no real difference between v1.16 and v1.17 that I have see (no extra settings, etc). Before removing the chip, notice its orientation in socket - put in new one is same orientation. I have three shown, but ad includes one EEPROM, unless more than one is requested.
