Isolated helical arrays of four 18-gauge continuous cast, single crystal ONO 99.99998% (6/9s) copper conductors and five empty polyethylene tubes create an ideal balance of inductance, capacitance and resistance. Combining premium virgin PVC and polyethylene with paper, fabric and air as dielectrics provides an exceptional reduction in hysteresis distortions.These are 8-feet long with thick copper spades on both ends. This model was a foundation that made the LA name so highly regarded, along with their synergistic matching IC (which I also have and can offer to interested buyers) and their passive preamp (which I also own). These have remained to this writing a top model at the Luminous Audio Website for over 15 years! Such longevity of an audio accessory in this ultra-competitive segment is unusual, for good reason indeed. Kudos to Luminous Audio. They are in very good condition, except there is a hairline crack in the stiff heat-shrink covering over the spade--please see second picture. The integrity of the connection is 100% solid and does not bend easily because the outer covering is so thick AND there is a rigid insulation layer under the heat-shrink covering, all of which is testimony on how well these are designed constructed! 50% off list price reflects this slight flaw; otherwise that are in very good condition as shown in hi-rez pics. Thanks for looking. Subjective assessments below. I'm not as good at reviewing cables as I am vacuum tubes, on which I have embarrassingly vast experience. I bought this pair after trying a half-dozen other brands of SCs that were darlings of the day; I stopped looking for anything different once these were placed. They were simply perfect with my Merlin VSM-MM and Klipsch Cornwall. When I hear 'perfect' to my ear, I know it. They gave a bit more body to the upper midrange of VSM and tamed the 'horn shout' of the CW's so beautifully. Surprisingly, they so nicely mellowed the upper-mids on KEF LS50 without affecting detail retrieval along entire spectrum. Frankly, I was quite surprised at what the right SC can do because I was cable agnostic. I have a 10' pair I am keeping, but could consider selling those for slightly more and I'd keep these. I might be convinced to sell both because I hardly listen to speakers anymore; my brief listening spells are on headphones nowadays. I will be selling some special tube amps soon and my Black-Gold KEF LS50 and possibly my mint CWs. Thanks again for looking.
