Alta Audio Rhea Loudspeakers, serial numbers RHE13106, 13107. If you have looked up information on this small floorstanding speaker, you have seen the outstanding reviews. If you are tired of "bright," unnatural sounding audio, these are the cure. They are incredibly smooth and open due to the 5 3/4 inch ribbon tweeter that is so-well integrated with the 6-inch mid-woofer. The designer Michael Levey has engineered a transmission line cabinet that uses his proprietary "damp hard" acoustic dampening material to eliminate cabinet resonances yet still produce amazingly deep bass response to 32 Hz. The soundstage is huge. Originally purchased from Well Pleased Audio, which was an Alta Audio dealer. I'm moving soon to a smaller place and will need some monitors rather than floor standers, so up for sale these go.The ribbons and drivers are in perfect condition. The cabinets have a small nick or smudge here and there, which simply wouldn't photograph because of the lustrous and beautiful rosewood veneer. Included are the original boxes, jumper cables (they are bi-wirable), and floor spikes (the furniture dollies in the photos are not included). New these sell for $4500, I'm asking $1750. I have the original cartons, which are not oversized, so shipping costs will not be outrageous. Be aware that the Audio Asylum shipping calculator gives you the price for ONE speaker; double it for the real shipping cost. These will ship from Richmond, KY 40475. Buyer to pay shipping costs, I'll pay the Paypal fee. Thanks for looking at my ad.
