***If you pay my asking price, I'll absorb (pay for) shipping and PayPal fees. Hello. I’ve had the pleasure of owning these speakers for about a year, now. I’ve ran them with a Conrad Johnson power amplifier. They really ‘sing’. Such refinement with detail, coherence, resolution and soundstage. It’s one of those speakers where you forget about the hardware and just enjoy the music. Bass is surprisingly deep and powerful. Midrange is natural and floats in the room. Highs are smooth and extended. I have all the factory boxes and packing. Grills are magnetic if you so choose to use them. They are in beautiful high gloss black. Just gorgeous to look at. This model was $5000 when new. I am open to all offers. Info from the Brochure:
“Tamino is given a magic flute which will protect him and which has
the power to turn sorrow to joy.” Turning sorrow to joy is certainly
one of the numerous virtues of music.
The Tamino x2 is one of Verity’s most endearing loudspeakers. It
is a great performer that will give a touch of magic to your favorite
recordings. Its compact-size mini-tower configuration makes
it an ideal loudspeaker for those who look for quality at either
reasonable price or limited space requirements.
The Tamino is a true Verity product in every sense and preserves
Verity’s enduring commitment to design, manufacture, and market
loudspeakers of exceptional beauty and performance.
Tamino x2
The Tamino loudspeaker is an elegant mini-tower two-way loudspeaker
featuring an excellent midrange. The midrange cone is
formed with TPX material. This lightweight, functional polymer
displays a unique combination of physical properties and characteristics
due to its distinctive molecular structure. It makes it an
excellent material for midrange reproduction bringing musicality
and uncolored sound reproduction. It conveys to the Tamino a nice,
full mid-bass to lower mid sound quality. Also, the Tamino voice coil
former is equipped with a dynamic damping system that confers
good performance and reliability at even overload conditions. The
midrange is then coupled to a very good 3/4” (19mm) soft-dome
tweeter showing a very good transient response giving fast and natural
high frequencies.
The Tamino x2 is configured in a bass-reflex enclosure having its
port located at the rear. This configuration gives an extended and
powerful bass performance. The Tamino x2 will perform very well
in a variety of room dimensions.
A very few compromises have been done in its conception. It features
the same high-quality finishing and share several components
that we already use in our most exquisite loudspeakers.
All Verity designs are crafted with a balance of science and art.
It is only through this tradition that the spirit of knowledge and
craftsmanship comes alive.
