For Sale: Perfect working Magnepan MG2.5R True Ribbon Speakers. All Black. The only 2-way Magnepan with Ribbon Tweeters made. The newer MG2.7QR is a Quasi Ribbon and a major step down. Crossovers are original stock. Tweeter Ribbons are perfect and untwisted , indicating proper operation (not overdriven). Original black socks have been removed and washed and look very nice...All voice coil wires have been reglued onto mylar with Magnepan supplied N30 glue, and ready for another 30+ years of service. The MG2.5R and the MGIIIa are by far the best performing speaker per unit cost in Magnepan's lineup...and would look awesome next to a Eames Chair (not included)! Pick up in West sub of Chicago.
