This is a switchable 300b to Type 50 tube amp fabricated by Jeffrey Jackson, of Experience Music ,who needs no introduction. Approximately 8 watts 300b , 2 watts Type 50 tube............
Included is a set of ElectroHarmonix 300b's,only about 100 hours on them..... To sweeten the deal I will throw in a pair of Globe 50 tubes,(which I will not guarantee but I have used them for only a few months on and off.. I will run these tubes again.before shipping to make sure they are operational. The 50 Type tubes are RCA CX-350 and UX-250 , which Jeffrey sells for $1,200 per pair. FYI Jeffrey warrants them for 60 days... Driver tube is a 6C8G and the power supply diodes are 6DA4. each pair will be included. The signal chassis each have a jumper which Jeffrey explains as such. as he explained to me in an email which I copied here. The Dave he refers to is Dave Slagle.

the binding post arrangement is a little different than normal... typically when you have "8 Ohm" and "16 Ohm" secondaries, the "8 Ohm" just uses half the winding and leaves the other half swaying in the breeze... this is less than optimal due to leakage inductance, stray capacitance, coil resistance, etc... so Dave came up with this technique that always uses the full winding.. essentially you have a "12 Ohm" winding and a "4 Ohm" winding... so when you add them you get 16... and when you subtract 4 from the 12, you get 8... subtraction is just wiring the 4 Ohm winding out of phase.. in this manner, the full secondary is always in use... sounds a little complicated, but it is actually quite easy...Note the toggle switch on the rear of the power supply for using either 300b or 50 type tubes.
IMO this is a very versatile amp. Sufficiently driving even moderately efficient speakers,with the 300b mode. The 50 Tube is a dream when used with horns.
Included is a Flight Case which the signal chassis will be shipped to prevent any damage, it will be
boxed also. Power supply wlll be double boxed.
