Mullard EL34 tubes, xf4 variety manufactured in 1966 and 1969. Three of the tubes have the same date code, branded “GE Electronic Tube Made in Great Britain” and appear new (see photos) All were manufactured in Mullard’s Blackburn Works factory in the U.K and 3 rebranded by GE to be sold in the US. Vintage GE 6CA7/EL34 boxes. Conditions vary from excellent to rough. Most consider these tubes to have some of the richest midrange, sweetest highs and tightest bass of any EL34 tubes. They also have a wonderfully realistic, 3 dimensional sound stage. I am selling these tubes because I no longer have an amplifier that uses EL34 tubes. All tubes listed test NOS and very strong but probably had some use. All are Mullard manufactured tubes with Mullard model, factory and date codes etched into the glass. All have the Mullard “hole in the guide pin.” Testing is done on a Weston 981 type 3 for gas, leaks, shorts and transconductance. NOS EL34/6CA7 tubes measure 6500 and above on my tester. I have established this range by testing a number of NOS Mullard and current production EL34/6CA7 tubes. The REJECT reading on my tester is 1430 gm and below. $450. Price includes US PayPal fees and USPS Priority shipping within the continental US. Questions are welcome.
