Two RCA 6sn7 VT-231 JAN-CRC-6SN7GT tubes, wartime manufacture, military tubes. Smoked grey glass. Military boxes and paper packing in excellent condition. Test NOS. Matching date codes (V2E – March/April 1945). Codes match acceptance date (Mar 1945) on both boxes. One tube unused with no sign of wear. One tube used in my preamp for 2 weeks. The sonics of both tubes were tested in my preamp. Deep bass, rich midrange, smooth highs, large sound stage.Test Results: 1750/1750 and 1650/1650 Tubes were tested on my Weston 981 gm tester. Measurements are in micromhos. The MINIMUM GOOD reading for a 6SN7 VT-231 tube on my tester is 840. NOS 6SN7 VT-231 tubes test 1600 and over.
